Mr. Noble,
I was given your name has someone who is doing Carr family research. I am
searching for information on Richard Carr born about 1770 location unknown
but purchased land on the KY river an ran a Ferry located on the oregon
Road now called the Warwick road in Mercer Co,KY. He married Mary Margaret
Freeman 1799 in Woodford Co,KY and later Dorothy McDonald in 1808 in
Woodford Co.,KY. His son William Carr (b:1795) married Anna Cox in 1827 in
Mercer Co,KY. The family rumor is that Richard was married to a woman named
Elizabeth ? The mother of William? I have no idea of the death dates of his
wives or himself or the loactions. And he is the end of the line for me I
know nothing about his parents or place of birth. Although the historical
societies confirm he ran the ferry nothing else seems to be known.
Do you happen to have him and his family in your data base? Thanks for
any help, Robin
Robin --
I have the following correspondence on your line. (see below) I'm copying
this email to the other correspondents, but the emails are over a year old or
so, and email addresses change, so I don't know if they are still valid.
Maybe we'll get lucky and hear back from them. I am also copying the email to
the CARR_L at Rootsweb in hopes that someone can add something to the mix.

Pat,
You mentioned the Carr Book. I am not familiar with it but I wonder
if some of it pertains to Carrs that migrated to KY. I have an Eliza Jane
Carr that md James Kincaid in 1844 in Mercer Co, KY and according to the
information that I have her father was William Carr and her grandfather was
Richard Carr, born abt 1750 in Ireland. If there is anything in the book
that bears on the Carr family that might be connected to these people I
would like to hear about it.
Thanks, John

I found Richard Carr (b. March 14, 1836, married Rebecca Pilcher) on page
164 of your Carr database (Pat Noble family home page). He was my
great-great grandfather. I have plenty of info on his family and
decendents, if you're interested (FTW format). Also, I have been unable to
figure out from your web site how he ties into your tree. Can you help?
I've got his family, his father's family and his decendents pretty well
documented, but I have little info on his father's ancestors. Thought you
might have more.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
