The latter is my great granddaughter's ancestress, Susan Carr, daughter of
Frederick W. Carr. She married Joshua James Moore in Norfolk, bonded 8 Feb.
1847 with Joshua James/James Joshua Moore and Frederick W. CARR, her father,
as bondsmen.
In 1851-1852 Norfolk Boro city directory, J. J. Moore was a grocer and lived
at 34 E. Main Street, r. 14 South Cumberland.
In 1859 Norfolk Boro city directory, J. J. Moore of J. M. & Co. had a house
at East Main.
In 1860 Norfolk Coro city directory, J. J. Moore of JJM & Co. had a house at
103 E. Main.
Georgiana Carr lived at 107 S. Church.
No other Carrs were listed.
James Joshua/Joshua James Moore died 20 June 1865 in Norfolk. His burial
site has not been found. Susan Carr Moore was sent away from the south with
her minor children during the civil war and has not been located since then.
One son, Frederick Carr Moore, has been located along with his son, James
Moore, born in Jessamine Co., WV.
