JAMES R. KELLEY, 81, formerly of Winter Street, a retired teacher, died
Monday at the St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield.
He was the husband of M. Louise (Ballou) Kelley. Born in Woonsocket, a son
of the late Charles J. and Jane C. (Carr) Kelley, he was a lifelong resident
of the city.
He was an industrial arts teacher at the Hopkinton High School and the King
Phillip Regional High School before retiring in 1980.
He was a World War II veteran, and piloted a B-17 over Germany.
He was a graduate of Woonsocket High School, and after his tour with the Air
Force graduated from Providence College.
Besides his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews. He was the brother
of the late Ailsen Phluger and Charles W. Kelley.
His funeral will be held tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. from the Kilcline Funeral
Home, 304 North Main St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St.
Charles Church, 200 North Main St. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery,
Blackstone, Mass.
