Would the host kindly send information on subscribing to the CARR_L to Marta?
I'm sure the Gerig H Karr descendants will want to welcome her to the list
and update her on their research.

Hello Pat -
I have just started researching my Carr Family Roots - and surprise - you
and several others seem to be way ahead of me! What a pleasant turn events -
I have been working steadily on my Becker Family History of York County, PA
and still can't get across the ocean! When my mother-in-law (Alma Grace
Carr) asked me to look up "anything" on the web, I really wasn't very
optimist. She had completed a great job several years ago of tracing the
family back to Henry "Roebuck" Carr of W. Virginia, but there the story
stops. I was amazed to see how much additional information you have been
able to collect.
My questions are simple, I'm sure. Does the Carr "forum" still exist and
are you still chatting about family history? If so, how can I join? Have
you ever resolved Henry "Roebuck" Carr? My mother-in-law thought that his
father was also named Henry (or Heinrich), but your data leads in another
direction. I read the complete notes that you included in your webpage over
the last several years regarding Henry "Roebuck" Carr, but I don't know
where
you landed. What do you think? Did he come over on the Pennsylvania
Merchant? One of the respondents made it sound like Henry's father Hans had
married for a third time, and that Henry was traveling with 1/2 brothers and
a stepmother. Has that been substantiated?
These are probably all very redundant questions, but I hope I'm not too much
of a beginner that you will find the time to point me in the right direction.
Thank you in advance for your help. Fondly, Marta Becker Howell >>
