Hi, all -
I've abstracted this CARR line from some old D.A.R. [Daughters of the
American Revolution] books from 1903 & 1904:
DAR #53176
Mrs. Anna Roberts Meek
1... Sgt. Sanders CARR (1734 - 1809) enlisted, 1775, as a private in Capt.
Stephen Clark's Company from Portsmouth, NH, and in 1777 was promoted to
sergeant in Capt. Robert Pike's Company, Col. Joseph Senter's Regiment. He
was born in Salisbury, MA, died in Raymond, NH.
+ Miss ______ Maxwell
2... Polly CARR + Currier Maxfield
3... Dorothy Maxfield + Nelson H. Carpenter
4... Harriet V. Carpenter + Matthew Roberts
5.... Anna Roberts + J. G. Meek
and this line, for Sarah Johnston, also descended from Sgt. Sanders CARR:
2... George CARR (1764 - 1829), b. Epping, died Bradford, NH, served
as marine on the ship "Tartar"
+ Mary Marden
3.... Jonathan CARR + Ruth Gore
4... George Marden CARR + Frances Birdsall Meek
5... Sarah Frances CARR, b. Northbridge, MA +
William Eugene Johnson
I hope I copied the generations correctly - they get pretty involved....
