Hello, I'm not a member of this list, I just found a record that I thought
someone might be interested in. This is the type of thing that's
extremely hard to find.

Departed September 7, 1829; buried September 8, 1829. WILLIAM CARR, a
stranger and a married man. He was born July 7, 1788 in the State of
Maryland. Died 4 miles below Beersheba, at the age of 41 years and 2
months, survived by his widow, with 5 sons and 3 daughters.
BTW, the canal was the Ohio-Erie canal.
Source: Church Book of the Brethren's Congregation of Beersheba on the
Westside of the Muskingum (now Tuscarawas) River opend in the Year of the
Our Lord 1805.
