My grandfather, Andrew Carr, was born in Aberdeen on 27 Oct
1872. In the 1890s he went to Boston to join his elder brother William
who
had emigrated to Massachusetts, according to family story. My
grandfather
returned to Scotland after some years and emigrated to South Africa in
maybe
1900. I have information about the family in Aberdeen but would like to
trace William.
Their father (Andrew Carr) died young and there was a blind sister (a
pianist) called Maria who remained in Aberdeen. They were raised by
their mother Ann (Barnett).
I should be grateful for assistance.
