CARR, JOHN F. 'JACK', 59, of Rutherglen Avenue, Providence, formerly of
Cranston, died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He
was the husband of PeggyAnn M. (Florio) Carr. They were married 37 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Maurice J. and Frances G.
(Miller) Carr. Mr. Carr was an independent insurance agent currently
working with the EGIS Group of Providence. He was the past president of the
Maurice J. Carr Insurance Agency, Inc. of Rumford. Mr. Carr was a graduate
of Johnson & Wales University, class of 1978 and East Providence High
School, class of 1964. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He was
an usher at St. Matthew's Church for thirty-one years and a member of the
VFW, American Legion and the 4th Infantry Association, New England Chapter.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children CherieAnn Ferreira of
Cranston, TiffanyAnn Carr Siniscalchi of Warwick and John M. Carr of
Cranston. Mr. Carr was the grandfather of Tyler and Kyle Ferreira and Jared
and Aliza Siniscalchi. He was the brother of Charles Carr and his wife
Teresa of Pawtucket and the late Robert Carr. He was the brother-in-law of
Nancy Carr of Ohio and the nephew of Margaret Miller of Rumford.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on
Saturday at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in
St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial with Military Honors
will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 PM.
