DOROTHY G. (CARR) FLORES, 82, of East Freetown, Mass., formerly of
Tiverton, died yesterday at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, after an illness.
She was the wife of John K. Flores Jr. They had been married for 60 years.
Born in Tiverton, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Gladys (Wing) Carr,
she had lived in Tiverton for 40 years before moving to East Freetown.
Mrs. Flores was a former member of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little
Compton. She was a communicant of St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown, a
member of the Woman's Guild of St. John Neumann Church, and a CCD teacher
for many years.
She was a member of the East Freetown Senior Citizens.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, James M. Flores of East Freetown;
three brothers, Austin Carr in New Hampshire, Alen Carr of Chicago and
Richard Carr in Washington; two sisters, Myrtle Rounds of Ferndale, Mich.,
and Sarah Plante of Pawtucket; two grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews. She was a sister of the late Helene Riley, Janice Fields, and
Edwin, George and Raymond Carr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 11 a.m. in St.
Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton.
