William Claiborne HANES and wife, Margaret/Peggy Ann CARR had children: (1)
Sarahan Elizabeth HANES (married J.H. Robinson); (2) Angeline HANES (died
young) (3)Thomas Marion (who moved to Butler Co, KS);(4)William D. HANES
(killed by a lightning bolt, unmarried); (5) Fountain Pitts HANES (died in
the Civil War); (6) Taylor Claiborne HANES (married Dolly ATKERSON Creasy,
widow of Bluford Creasy)(Taylor moved to KS after Dolly died); Kittie HANES
(married H. E. Reid, moved to KS).
In the 1880's my two sets of great grandparents, Taylor Claiborne HANES
from Macon Co., and Daniel M. CARR, from Sumner Co. and their
families,along with many other families migrated from Macon and Sumner
Counties to Butler County, KS.
Taylor Claiborne HANES and his first wife, Dollie ATKERSON Creasy, widow of
Bluford Creasy) was among those from Macon Co. who migrated. Taylor's first
wife, Dollie ATKERSON died in Macon County, he married Martha Susan CARR
and they had a son, Bailey and the four of them moved to KS.
Mattie Eunice CARR, was among those from Sumner Co. who
migrated to KS, along with her 9 brothers and sisters, children of Daniel
M. CARR and Nancy DOBBINS.
