The records seem to say that John Carr d. Hanover Co., VA had widow
Catherine [she is not married to William Carr, don't know what her surname
was] and a daughter Mary.
For some reason this Catherine was changed with out any proof or refrences
that I can find to be a widow of William but this shows she is the widow of
John.

Blalack and William Mitchell, lying adjacent to each other, being made one
Precinct ... In complyance with this within written Order of Vestry, we the
Subscribers have Processioned the lands within Specifled in this Order, as

210).] apparently dated from the March 14, 1709 Vestry meeting.
Then we have mention of another processioning at a Vestry held for St.
Paul's Parish at "ye Lower Church, March ye 17th 1711-12," with the mention
of Mr Carrs orphans; chamberlayne 1940, p. 221, also stating that the
return is dated in 1711.
In the processioning of 1711 "The lands of Jno Anderson*, Matthew
Anderson*, Capt.
Robt. Anderson, Thos. Anderson, Jno. Chiles, Geo. Alvis, Holland, Mr.
Biggar for Mr.
Carr's Orphans" were in precinct 21 - SPVB229, 241. The return stated "we
the
Subscribers, in company with Robt. Anderson Junr. Thos. Anderson and Mr.
John Chiles,
have processioned the Lands within Mentioned, except Hollands, he being
sick, could not
come, & Mr. Geo. Alvis, being out of the County and Mr. Biggars for Mr.
Carr's Orphans
having no Lands adjacent, witness our hands ye 19th of 9br. 1711.

Carrs orphans are again mentioned on the Feb. 14th, 1727 return , with the
names of John Black. and John Mitchel associated in the same processioning
as they had been with John Carr in 1708/9

In the processioning of 1736 precinct 24 covers "the Lands of James Skelton
(1) Mrs. Page, Nathl Anderson, Eliazar Davis??, John Bumley (3) Barttelot
Anderson*, John Gardner (1) Wm. Clarke (1) Wm. Snead, John Langford (1),
Wm. Hundley (1) Mrs. Snelson (1) Kezia Chambers (1) Richd. Watson (2), Wm.
Staples (2), Story Hall (1) Rumballs Orphans (1) Robt. McKoy (2)-SPVB291.
This is the only group in which the name of Eliazar Davis appears in the
processioning of 1736. In precinct 12 of this year are "the lands of Wm.
Byrd Esqr. Colo Pages Orphans, Susannah Nuckols, Anthony Pouncy, the Glebe,
Carr's Orphans, John Mitchells Orphans, and Capt Garlands, Capt Garland,
and Ralph Hunt to see the s'd processioning preformed" return signed by
Peter Garland & Ralph Hunt-SPVB288. In 1719 (SPVB256) and 1731 (SPVB276)
land of Colo. Page, was processioned with a similar group. 1736
Catherine Carr's daughter, Mary was bound out: John Carrs wife was
apparently named Catherine, for on August 13th, 1719, it was ordered that
Ralph Hunt take Mary, ye daughter of Catharine Carr, and bring her to the
Church Wardens to be bound to the said Hunt, "
