CLAIRE CECILE SIMPSON - Pawtucket, RI
CLAIRE CECILE SIMPSON, 74, of Cove St., died Tuesday at Steere House
Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Providence.
She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Simpson. Born on May 28, 1926, in
Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Sarah (Sugrue)
Carr. She was a member of Church of St. Leo the Great.
She leaves three daughters, Gail S. Fisher, Colleen M. Fisk and Dorothy A.
Lanoie, all of Pawtucket; a son, Gregory T. Simpson of Lynn Haven, Fla.;
two sisters, Irene McVay of Cumberland and Joan Walsh of St. Petersburg,
Fla.; and 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of
the late Thomas E. Jr. and Claire Ann Simpson, and sister of the late
Margaret Porier, Alice Magill, Charlotte Sutton, Earl Carr and Rose Watkins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Church of
St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery.
