Jim,
Great to see someone posting to the Virginia Carrs! Thank you for telling me
where Francis and Samuel Farmer relocated from Virginia. I am related to
William Carr of Halifax Co, VA (b. abt 1752 d. bef. 28 Sept 1835) and his wife
Tabitha (last name possibly Hodges). Frances (Fanny) Farmer is his
granddaughter. Her father is Thomas B. Carr, her mother is Nancy Ragland.
Nancy was
the 2nd wife of Thomas B. Carr. They had four children Jane (Jenny),
William, Frances (Fanny) and Elizabeth (Betsy). The children of Thomas B and
Nancy
Carr were mentioned in a deed and also in the will of their grandfather,
William Carr.
I am working on a project now that might carry Thomas B Carr and his
siblings back to Hanover Co., VA and their father John Carr. If this proves
correct
then I might be able to connect back to Thomas Carr of Albemarle Co., and
possibly back to the first Carrs in Virginia.
Do you have any information on the Carr line prior to Fanny? Any
information on any of her siblings?
Would you please share the names of Fanny and Samuel Farmer with me?
Julia Carr
Alexandria, VA
