EVERETT J. McMANUS, 79, of One Mendon Road, a retired foreman, died
yesterday at Oakhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket.
He was the husband of the late Florence M. (Carr) McManus. Born in
Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Anna (Graf) McManus.
Mr. McManus had been a foreman for Owen Corning Fiberglas for more than 20
years, until retiring in 1982.
A Navy veteran of World War II, receiving many medals and citations, he was
a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Israel-Couture Post 2274, in
Cumberland.
Mr. McManus received his high-school diploma from local officials at an
award ceremony last year.
He leaves two sons, Kenneth E. McManus of Woonsocket and Brian J. McManus
of Pawtucket; two daughters, Patricia A. Davidson of Milbury, Mass., and
Ann M. McManus of Cranston; and two grandchildren. He was the brother of
the late Ruth McManus and Marguerite Twohey.
The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Lincoln
Funeral Home, 1501 Lonsdale Ave., Lincoln. Burial, with military honors,
will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
