My ggrandmother was Mary Jane Ramby, who married Joseph Freeman in
Westminister, MD, in 1845. I think that Sarah Ramby is her sister and am
trying to get more information on their background. I have a photo of
"Aunt Sarah Carr" and one of a young girld called Adda Carr. Do you have
any connection or know anything about Sarah's ancestors? I also have a
photocopy of a newspaper article on a Charles J. Carr, who appears to have
been president of the Pittsburgh chapter of the K. of C. in 1922. I would
appreciate any info that you can provide.

Sydney Randall came from a family that owned farms along Nicodemus road
in Carroll County. Samuel and his sons bought more farms in the
warfieldsburg area of Carroll county. Samuel Carr is thought to have
emigrated from Ireland with 2 brothers between 1815 and 1820. He might
be from County Waterford.
If you'd like more information about the names above.. or have more
information to add- I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!

Hello,
I am searching for information on and parents of a James Carr who died
1810 in Rhea Co. TN. He was married to Ann (?) and had a daughter Jane
who was born 1779 in VA. James also had either a son named Samuel or a
brother named Samuel, as they both were listed in the 1800 Blount Co. TN
tax list.

Check out my database at Rootsweb. James is likely identical with James Carr
b abt 1750 m Anne Jones with son Samuel Carr b 1780. See also Samuel Carr b
abt 1790 m Margaret Unknown, and Samuel Carr b abt 1785 m Sally Blythe in
Rhea Co, TN in 1810. Possible leads. If anyone can merge this stuff, kindly
let me know and I'll update my records! Thanks.
Sincerely yours,
Pat Noble
I also have a Samuel Carr b March 1795 deceased 3.18.1864 m. to Sidney
Randall- they resided in Maryland in the Carroll County/Frederick area.
His eldest son, William Henry Carr apparently relocated to a different
part of the Country. W.H.'s wife was reported to be Sarah Ramby and a
son, Henry, is listed in Grandfather Samuel's will. Samuel had two
other sons- Alexander and James and one daughter, Sidney who all
remained in the Maryland area. Family lore suggest Samuel had several
brothers- who settled in other parts of the Country. I've found no
evidence to date of these siblings.
