Do any of you know if Walter Carr/Kerr/Karr was descended from any of the
earliest Carrs to enter the country. Walter would have been born in the
early 1700s. I can trace my George Carr to having been born in 1746 in New
Jersey. According to later documents found in VA and TN, George was a son of
Walter.
Thanks for your assistance,
Shirley Holder Antrim

I hope this is helpful. What else can I give you?
Billy Neil Carr
1981, my Uncle, Charles Willis Carr, now deceased, published a book
called
"Ancestors and Descendents of Amasa Carr. It was distributed to those
who
paid in advance for it. I know he gave a copy to the Mormon Church and
it is
available from them. I have a copy.
In the book he states: "For the first three generations in the
genealogy, I
take the following from the framed 'Pedigree' of Governor Caleb Carr,
that
hangs on the wall of the living room in the old Carr Homestead in
Jamestown,
R. I."
There follows in the book: Andrew Kerr, John Kerr, William Kerr. The
next
is Benjamin Carr who was the father of Caleb and Robert.
Uncle Charlie spent so time in England during WWII as a Field Director of
the Red Cross. He did some genealogy researching while there.
