Hi
I bought mine at a garage sale about 3 years ago. I lived in Washington state at that
time. Mine is a schooner on the open sea, there isn't anything around it but water. I
also talked to a couple of people that had his art work, but all of theirs had the light
house involved some how or another. What I have read about art and the artists is that
they usually paint and the style somehow triggers the date. I.E. clothing on people and
buildings, vehicles. So the research I did on schooners was that they were prominent in
the 1800's, so am led to believe that this is the time era that these were painted. I
would really like to know more about him, and now I have to look to see if there is a
period after his name, it is signed Amos Carr.
I do know that out off all the works that I collect, it is my favorite. Keep in contact
if you find out anything else and I will do like wise.
Lisa
