I finally heard from the Old Soldiers' Home in Fort Dodge, Kansas on my
Hubbard CARR, a civil war veteran.
It gave me very little new information on him, but some on his wife/widow.
Hubbard D. CARR was born in Haverhill, Grafton Co., NH, 7 Feb. 1837. Not
stated but known his parents were Francis CARR of Mass. and Phela Delpha
HEATH, daughter of David Heath, of Orange Co., VT.
He was iin 3rd Cav. NY, enlisting 6-13-1861 and discharged 7-29-64.
His wife was Hattie A. Carr (not stated but known to be LIDDLE), born in
Colon, Michigan, 14 Jan. 1844. They were married 4 March 1868 in West
Monroe, NY.
They lived in many places, as attested by the birthplaces of their children.
They lived in Arkansas City, Cowley Co., KS when he petitioned for admittance
to the home, 15 June 1917.
Hubbard died 15 Mar. 1919 at 4:30 am of "Atheritis Deformeans and hypertrophy
