Kenneth G. Carr, World War II veteran
Kenneth G. Carr, 84, of Coldbrook Road, Warwick, died December 17,
2007 at home. He was the husband of Frances L. (Calise) Carr.
Born in Warwick, a son of the late Jesse G. and Alyse (Shippee) Carr,
he was a lifelong Warwick resident. He was an Army veteran of World
War II. Mr. Carr was employed by Buckley & Scott in Providence for 42
years, retiring as a sales engineer in 1990.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Carr of
Coventry and Richard A. Carr of North Smithfield; a daughter, Andrea
L. Vescera of West Warwick; two sisters, Charlotte Barrett of
Narragansett and Margaret Page; six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Rita Auger.
His funeral will be held Dec. 20 at 9 a.m. from Peter J. Barrett
Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
