It's so nice to meet you! I do have Sarah Ramby married to William
Henry Carr in 1858. William Henry Carr was born on January 30, 1823. I
will paste here the information from the family historian Howard E.
Carr:
"William H. Carr, second son of Samuel and Sydney Carr, this mans birth
is recorded in an old bible that belonged to his brother, Alexander
Carr. His name is also in his father's will, made in 1860. It states,
Henry Carr, son of William Henry Carr was left 500 dollars by his
grandfatehr, Samuel Carr. Before his grandfateher died his daughter
Sydney died. He remade his will. This time he only gave Henry Carr 300
dollars. I have tried all the ways I know how to find out something
about this family. I have failed to do so each time. In the Carroll
County Court House, in the marriage records it says that William Henry
Carr married Sarah Ramby. I believe this is the man in question. The
picture above is of the Dorsey Farm. When he left this part of the
country we believe he was helping his father to farm this farm. About
500 feet in front of the barn stood the old stone house, and about 500
feet in front of the house in the old famly grave yard; south of this
house on the knoll of the hill is the slave grave yard. My information
was obtained from my father, Jesse P. Carr."
There is a William H. Carr listed as a Private in the Civil War enlisted
May 26, 1864 released Oct 1 1864
