Hi!
The Schneider family was originally from
Rheinbischofsheim, Baden, Germany located a few miles
east of Strasbourg, France. They came here in 1845
with the Amana Movement. They settled initally near
Buffalo, NY, then moved to Iowa. My third gr
grandfather moved to Louisa County, IA about 1856. My
fourth gr grandfather stayed with Amana in Iowa
County, Iowa. That's about the only group of
northerners in my family.
