CARR, DAVID G., 59, of Payson Lane died Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at
Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of
Frances A. (Lewicki) Carr.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Larson)
Carr, he had lived in Cumberland for the past 37 years.
Mr. Carr was the superintendent and Secretary of the Corporation of
Narragansett Improvement Company, Providence for 40 years and had
planned on retiring this June.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, he was a member of
Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. While at URI, he was a member of ROTC
and had served as Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.
He was a member of Arnold Mills United Methodist Church, Cumberland.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer F. Carr of
Franklin, MA; one son, Joshua D. Carr of Cumberland; two sisters,
Melba Wilson of Bar Harbor, ME and Lynne Feinberg of Overland Park,
KS; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held SATURDAY, MAY 3 at 1:30 P.M. in Arnold Mills
United Methodist Church, 690 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Burial
will be private.
