I've "rescued" an old photograph of Billie BLACK which was taken at the W.
R. Limpert Studio in Columbus, OH. The photograph appears to have been
taken in the 1860's or 1870's with Billie appearing to be about 7-8 years
old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the
following information regarding Billie BLACK and his family:
William Lion BLACK was b. 2 Feb 1860 in Ohio to parents James BLACK
(1815-1901) and Elizabeth BOYLE (1823-1911). William had at least 6
siblings including, Jeannette BLACK BROWN (1845-1922); Marian BLACK MCFARLIN
(1847-1905); Elizabeth BLACK CARR (1848-1907); John A. BLACK (1851-1904);
James C. BLACK (1855-1931); and Lillie J. BLACK WOODRUFF (1864-1939).
William married Ida May MILLER (1864-1945) and he died 10 Nov 1916 in Akron,
OH and is buried in the Bath Cemetery in Bath Center, OH. His parents were
both born in Scotland and William was a Carpenter by trade.
Census records for this family provide the following details:
1900 census of Bath Township, Summit Co. OH:

born Scotland, a Farmer

I am hoping to locate someone from this BLACK Family so that the photograph
can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family,
or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
