Hi I,
It has taken a year to find and respond to your posting.
My gt-grandmother, Jane (nee Doran ) according US Cenus return was born in Oct. 1852 in
Alt. So I figure she and your Peter were siblings and offsprings of a father also named
Peter DORAN. Apparently our mutual Gt.-Gt. Grandfather Peter was a succesfull businessman
of some means. Jane and Robert had 9 childern(4 in Eire and 5 in Philly).
Robert, a carpenter, died in Apr 1895 @ 44, Jane died in Apr 1912. Both along with some of
their children are buried in New Cathedral Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Do you have knowledge of what the elder Peter Doran's wife's maiden name is ? I
would LOVE to find that out !
Is it YOUR Peter who started the bakery in Strabane that lasted into the 1970ies ?
What is your Christian name and where do you live ?
I have been in touch with Patricia w/o Desmond DORAN
a Tyrone native presently residing in Houston, TX.
Patricia and I are both battling cancer.
God Bless,
Brian
Wyomissing, PA
