CARR, MARY A., 80, of Lincoln, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at
Hallworth House on January 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Mary
was the cherished wife of John P. Carr for 58 loving years. Born and
raised in Central Falls, Mary lived most of her adult life in Lincoln.
She was the daughter of the late James and Irene (Healey) O'Leary. Mary
was a graduate of St. Xavier's Academy in Providence and Becker Junior
College in Worchester, MA. She worked as a medical secretary for the
late Dr. E. Gammell and in various local nursing homes. Mary was the
beloved mother of Christine Carr of Lincoln, John Carr and his wife
Elaine of Boca Raton, Fla, James Carr and his wife Vickie of Savannah,
GA, Kathleen Main and her late husband David of Lincoln, Michael Carr
and his wife Erin of Rehoboth, Paul Carr and his wife Michelle of
Lincoln, Daniel Carr and his wife Christene of Rehoboth and M. Elizabeth
Carr of Lincoln. Mary was the loving sister of Carol Bedard and her
husband Walter of Tucker, GA. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 4 great
grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary's most notable
achievement was her love and devotion for her family. In return, she
could not have been loved more and will be truly missed. Her loving
compassion lives on through her entire family. Calling hours will be
held on Friday, January 7th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lincoln Funeral
Home 1501 Lonsdale Avenue Lincoln, RI. A Celebration of Mary's life will
take place on Saturday, January 8th at 10:00 AM at St. Maria Goretti's
Church 165 Power Road Pawtucket, RI 02860. In lieu of flowers, donations
in Mary's name to the George Wiley Center 32 East Ave. Pawtucket, RI
