Message Board Post:
My Grandfather, John "Jack" Carr, shows up on at least one
census as being born in Kentucky, then, seems like I read
somewhere that there was a possibility that he came from
Virginia.
So, that is why I put a question make next to birth state
of NC in my last posting.
Have you ever seen a posting on Rootsweb by Suzanne,

As for David's parents:
I looked at the 1840 Harrison Co. KY. Census,
and the only Carr's that could have been his Dad or Mom, were:
Sarah Carr age: 60/70 Page 168
Being listed as head of household she was
probably widowed, also, the 2 children listed
with her were between 10 - 20 yrs old, she
would have been too old to be Mom, Maybe,
Grandmother???
Robert Carr Age: 20/30 Page 168
Hiram Carr Age: 20/30 Page 169
John Carr age: 20/30 Page 169
HOPE THIS HELPS !!!
