Marjorie E. Carr, 82, of Erie, passed on Saturday evening December 11, 2010 at Fairview
Manor following a brief illness. A resident of Erie most of her life she was born in
Wesleyville, Pa. on August 3, 1928 a daughter of the late Donald G. and Bertha Eagleson
Carr. Marjorie graduated from Academy High School and went on to attend Allegheny College.
She worked for the G.E. in Schenectady, NY and later as a clerk at LCBA for 10 years. She
was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed the outdoors, especially
camping and hiking. She also enjoyed traveling. Following retirement she enjoyed
needlecraft, knitting, and painting. Survivors include one brother, Norman Carr and his
wife Joan of Ballston Spa, N.Y. and one niece, Amy Carr of Albuquerque, N.M.. Friends may
call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of
East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave.) on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services there
at 1:00 p.m. officiated by!
Rev. James Eaton, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Laurel
Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 3952
Pine Ave., Erie, 16504.
