I am searching for William Carr, born possibly about 1790 possibly at Northfield NH. His
birth date and place is based on information in a history of the town of Sanbornton and
in a Sanborn genealogy. [1] He was born at a place and on a date not yet identified.
The same history of Sanbornton reports that after marriage, William and his wife moved to
Lawrence MA where he died. Extensive research has so far failed to identify William’s
place and date of death .
He married at a place and on a date not yet identified MARY SANBORN. She reportedly was
born 9 September 1790 in Epping or Sanbornton NH, the daughter of Josiah and Hannah
(Rundlet) Sanborn of Sa nbornton NH. [2] She had seven brothers and one sister. She
died at Boston MA on 27 February 1882 [3] at the home of her son, Frank.
Any help or information regarding William Carr's birthplace, birthdate or parents will
be very much appreciated. I have information about William's and Mary's son,
Frank, and his spouse and children to share.

father, Josiah, apparently was born in Epping, was in the Revolutionary War for two years
in Col. Nichol’s regiment and received a pension. He died 24 January 1841 age 77. Her
mother, Hannah, died 24 September 1822 of consumption. Op. cit., Genealogy of the family
of Samborne or Sanborn in England and America 1194-1898 ; page 201; repeats this
information, but provides nothing further about Mary. Mary was the third of 9 children
born between 1785 and 1810.
