Hello,
Can anyone please offer some advice. I am trying to find out information about my Grandad in the First World War. I believe he was in the Lancashire fusiliers (although he was born in Shropshire and i think living in Liverpool) and that most likely he is one of those who's records were destroyed in the Blitz. The Lancashire Fusiliers Museum were very helpful, in that they told me the only Battalion stationed in Cromer, Norfolk before heading for Europe was the 2nd Battalion. (The only snippet of info i had was that Grandad Joshua Hill, was stationed there at some point!)
I was wondeing if anyone had a relative in the 2nd Battalion and had names of others or even photographs, so that i can find out for sure if Joshua was in the 2nd Battalion Lancashier Fusiliers. I think Grandad may have come out at some stage with "Trench Fever", but that is a bit vague.
Anyway Any help or ideas would be fantastic!
Thanks Jan

I've found that there seems to be a military connection, sveral of the people who have these paintings seem to have received them during there time in the military.
Don't know anymore however.
