I have been looking through this information.
I have not yet located the son David of David and Margaret.
I found his son Robert andduaghters Elizabeth, Margaret, and Agnes.
Right now I am wondering if Kentucky was once part of South Carolina. So, I going to look into this.
I know that he is not the son of David Carr 22 Feb 1836.

This is what I have on the children of David & Margaret Carr: 1st child - Robert & Nancy "Agness" Craig Carr with son David went to Indiana Territory.
2nd child - Margaret Carr married John Farris/Faris/Fares/Faries. John Faris is listed on the 1810 & 1820 census in York Co. SC.
3rd child - Elizabeth Carr married George Kelsey. George died 1802 & Elizabeth in 1824 in Chester SC.
4th child - Agness Carr married Augustian "Austin" Culp. Agness & her children moved to Barren/Allen Co. KY. They later moved to MO. By 1827 her oldest son Nathaniel "Nathan" Culp was married in MO. This KY record is between 2 of her sons: Barren Co., KY Grantee Deed Index - 1819 Peter Culp to Nathan Culp, Deed Book G page 280, date of instrument 1818. Recorded 50 acres north side of Big Barren River. Peter had bought 50 acres in 1815, Book E. page 178.

HI
I have recently found that my gr grandfather's brother, Charles Hamilton Carr settled in Worcester, MA from about 1893, and the last record I found for him was 1930. He married Minnie D. Whitworth, they had one son Charles Hamilton Carr Jr. who married Elsa V...their daughter was Jean A. Carr born about 1925/26.
If you have any connection let me know.
Thanks.
Wendy

Thank you so much for the reply. I didn't know if someone would help me with more clues.
The David Carr I have was born in Kentucky according to census records. He was born in 1821 and died in 1896 in Nebraska. He did live in Marion County, Indiana for many years. He was married at least three times. I can find him from the 1860's to his death. I don't think he could have acted as a power of attorney in getting an Estate in 1815 because he was not born yet. So, I am missing 40 years of his life.
But did David and Margaret Carr have other siblings or other children?
Do you show anyone coming from Kentucky?

David Carr along with his wife Margaret came to the US in 1762 (son Robert was 2 years old) & settled in the Fishing Creek area of SC. So far I have seen no other relationship to any other Carr's in the area. David & Margaret also had 3 daughters who were born in the US, Margaret, Elizabeth & Agness Carr. Agness Carr & her husband Augustine "Austin" Culp are my 4th Great Grandparents.

Is it possible that the David Carr or his son you are looking for might be in this line? David & Margaret Carr had a son named Robert "Robin" Carr, married to Nancy "Agness" Craig, who moved from Chester Dist. SC. Robert died 07 Apr 1833 in Marion, Indiana. Robert had a son named David Carr that I have no info on at all, no birth or death dates. Proof of their arrival in Indiana Territory can be found in Deed Book R. clerk of Court's office Chester Counry Court House page 98 # 80. This is a power of Attorney granted by Agnes and Robert Carr, of County of Franklin, Indiana Territory to their son David Carr who is about to return to SC to collect Agness part of the Estate of George Craig Deceased 24 May 1815
This above record is the only indication I have of this son David. It is possible that they left SC in 1801 but were surely gone by the date of 1815.

I realize that you made posting in 2008 about Kentucky Carr's. I have been looking for a David Carr born in 1821. He mostly lived in Indiana. Can't find his parents.
Does this match anything you have?

I was so excited to hear from you. My Dad never did tell me anything about his Mom, Ada Carr. Maybe he knew very little about the family history. We have no photos of her. I would love to get a copy of the photo you have of her and her brother. We believe she died of breast cancer when she was in her 30's somewhere near Boston. Do you know the year and where she may be buried? Even though I knew nothing about her, she was the main reason I started to research the family tree. Thank you for any info you can supply. I would love to hear from you.
