Hello! I have a Rose Herron in my family tree - actually two. One was the daughter of John Herron (or also see as James Harron on the 1911 census - his wife was Mary Mulhearn/Mulhern/Mulherne. I have guessed that Rose was born around 1870s... brother Neil Herron immigrated to PA in 1911 with his wife Susan.
Any connection?
Fiona

Could you send the Joseph Kerr information you have to me as well? I have found some (very little) info on Joseph Sr's father David. All I have on David is a birth year. I would really appreciated your help. Thanks!

I don't have any connection to your grandmother but just some thoughts:
Have you found her on the 1920 and 1930 US census? This would probably
give her parent's names if she was living with them. Do you know where she
was born so that you could order her birth certificate? By 1919 most states
and birth recording requirements. If she was born in 1919 and didn't marry
her 2nd husband until 1988, I doubt that she was the mother of Joseph. She
would have been about 69 at the 2nd marriage. Perhaps Joseph was her step
son. Have you ordered her death record. Her parents or birthplace may be
there. Although it is about 27 bucks, I would also order her social
security application that would give her parents' names and her place of
birth and her address at the time of the application and if she was working
it would give who she worked for.
Hope this helps.
Leslie Vaughn

Hi Maggie,
I guess we are cousins! My grandfather was Ada's brother, Orrin Carr. His middle name was Ivan. Yes, he had six children, one of whom was my mother. Did you know that Noel died from complications of a gunshot wound? I actually just found an article on it today. Agnes remarried someone by the last name of LaRowe.

I have been trying to learn more about Margaret Carr (married name). She was born around Jan 1831 and married to Lorenzo Dow Carr. I don't even have her maiden name.
Any info would be appreciated.
