No, I'm sorry, your Carr's don't sound familiar. I will keep your posting in mind though, in case I find out different. Mine would have moved to Wa. from Iowa.
Thanks, and good luck!

We are trying to locate any information on Sarah or Catherine Carr born in Ireland circa 1850 and married to Patrick Doyle or their son James Charles Doyle born circa 1824. We have tried searches under the name Catherine Carr for this family with no response so her name may be Sarah Carr, Sarah Catherine Carr or similar spellings for Doyle. The key anchor is their son James Charles Doyle born circa 1824.

Jeanne,
Here is a link to my Dan Carr's page at Ancestry. I have attached the story in pdf format. You may download it and read.
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/9637486/person/-768817021?pgNum=1
I'm not sure what happened to Walter. I can't find him in the 1900 census in Fraser. He would have been 10 in 1900 and can't imagine that he had stayed behind in WV -- but who knows. I'll continue to work on this.
If you look at that link, you can see who I have as his kids. Let me know if you see them all.
Craig

thanks for answering! I would love to hear the story about Daniel and would love to fill in some limbs on my tree!
You mentioned Walter - I checked the census records and did not find him in ID - however did find a birth record for him in WV - did he remain in WV instead of going to the family or is this again a census error? speaking of census the 1900 states phoebe had 7 children 5 living. 1910 states 6 born 5 living. i have got 6 listed - homer, lexie, minnie, albert, walter & gordon. do you know the correct number of children and the missing childs name?
can you tell me when and where phoebe died? her parents?
any other info on this branch will be most appreciated.
thanks, jeanne

Jeanne,
Yes, I did get an answer to my question I posted here. I now have a tape recording of Daniel Carr's son telling the story of the shoot out -- I also found a book filled with stories about Idaho called "Outlaw Tales of Idaho: True Stories of the Gem State's Most Infamous Crooks: ... By Randy Stapilus
I ordered the book and it tells pretty much the same story as I heard from Walter Carr, Dan's son. If you would like to hear the story, or you have any more information about it, let me know.
Craig Snyder, Dan Carr's 2nd cousin, 4 times removed and your 5th cousin, once removed
