Early NC records indicate that Job Carr and daughter, Phebe/Phoebe, lived in Old Albemarle County maybe late 1730s-1740s. Does anyone have any clue as to who these CARRS were and where their point of origin might have been? He served with the early NC militia with the rank of captain, fighting Indians and Spanish who attacked the Outer Banks area. The few records that I have located always refer to him as CARR, not Kerr. Any assistance would be appreciated. F. F. Moore
