Hello, looking for information on James Carr, born about 1807 in Virginia. He married Diadema Bowman. In 1860 James and Diadema lived in Indiana, and in 1870, they were in Iowa. They had several children, the youngest being Rachel. I would love to find anything on these people, and will share what I have, including photos. Thanks!

Hi Alicia --- In reading over these posts, I see that you have an old Carr picture. I am descended from the brother of Radford M Carr ( W.M. Carr )--- and I would love to have a copy of that pic also.
Please contact me at Cecelia0722(a)aol.com--

I photographed this gravestone in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas. Feel free to use this picture for your personal records. This is one of the 214,557 cemetery photos free at http://teafor2.com
If you know more about this person please reply here instead of contacting me because this is most likely not my family.

I have the history of Rosetta's ex-husband, also been in contact with members of his family, but no-one knows anything. Rosetta is their black sheep.
Cannot find any evidence of a divorce. Thank you for your suggestion, going to try it.
Thank you for taking the trouble to help me. Much appreciated.

Were there children? Did the husband remarry? Maybe there is a divorce somewhere? Back then divorce was kind of hush hush. There are also other boards--rootschat.com has one that is divided into counties in the UK.

Yes, everywhere. The bottom line is I think she took the man's surname. Even tried researching under her Christian name alone. There are others of the same name and I have sent away for their Certs, but they are not those of my aunt Rosetta.
Thank you, you are right of course, but this was my last shot, a shot in the dark.

If she didn't want to be found and you don't have more information--I am not sure you will find her. Do you have the name of the other man? It would be quite easy to move somewhere and assume another name, move to another country. I gather you have checked marriages, and deaths quarter by quarter?
