Greetings,
I have a perfect 25 marker DNA result with a Carr descendant from Ireland who I am collaborating with. I am awaiting the results of the 67 marker test to see how it matches up to his.
My ancestors are from Scotland.
Is there anyone on this board with a Carr/Sinclair connection?
Leslie Bruce Sinclair
Toronto, Ontario
I don't know how to read these numbers but this is my son's DNA numbers.
We are from Ireland through England.
I don't have a Sinclair connection
If this helps enjoy if not you have a delete button.
Helen

My Dad passed away 2 years ago at 79 years old. In his belongings my son found a painting of a poitrait of a white bearded sailor in a captians hat, smoking a pipe. In the background is a ship with three sails that are down and birds fling around the ship. The signiture is "Amos Carr".
My father was in the Korean War on a ship (in the Navy)and loved the ocean.
I don't have a clue who this artist is, but my Dad must of liked this picture. He didn't have much left when he passed (down sized to a elders apt) but he kept this picture. Now I have the picture and would like to find out about the artist.

I have information regarding Jesse Drury Carr I and Mariah Sanford Carr and their son Jesse Drury Carr II and Henrietta Craig Carr. I would enjoy making contact and discussing Eudora. I have heard the name Uncle Pet (possibly real name is Arthur Carr), who I believe was Jesse II's brother.

Hello -
I am researching the Carr family line of Marcy/Oriskany/Utica, NY.
Your Anna Carr is the daughter of Arthur Merchant Carr and Ella Parkhurst (That is the best I can tell from an old obit I have for Arthur). Arthur and Ella had 2 other daughters Margaret and Grace, and 2 sons Thomas and George. At the time of Arthur's death, only Anna was married and had a son.
Arthur Carr is the son of Thomas and Melissa Mayhew Carr. Thomas and Melissa had 5 other children besides Arthur who is the oldest son. Cora (my direct descendent), Maude, Blanche, Grace and Thomas.
I do have some additional information on the Carr family, that I would be happy to share if you would be interested. The Carr family and the Mayhews are fairly prominent in the Oriskany/Marcy area.
Good luck with your searches!
Christine

Help needed. I'm trying (with no success) in tracking down information on GOLDA BLANCHE CARR, b: 6 March 1896; d: 1939 month/day are unknown; married to William Floyd Carrico (1891-1981 Sullivan, Indiana). I'm searching for Golda's actual death day and month, her parents names, b: d: m: where she lived, grew up, etc.... I know her three children since one of them (Gloria -diceased- 1924-2008) is my wife's mother. Story's tell that Golda and her siblings may have spent time in orphanage due to impoverished family(maybe in Indiana or Illinios).
thanks,
cory

There may not be a link between our families, however my Carrs came from England (supposedly Pakefield, Suffolk) in around 1824, and supposedly with three sons (Henry,b. about 1818 in England, Thomas,b. about 1818 in England, and George,b. about 1823 in England.) There is a strong probability that they left older sons and daughters back in England. Father was Jonathan and mother was Mary Smith from Lowestoft, married in 1803. They settled first in Montreal, Quebec, then in Stormont County (Finch-Osnabruck-Grantley area). My Grandfather Clifford Fleming Carr, Sr., emigrated from the Osnabruck area to the Ogdensburg-Madrid , NY, area in the early 19-teens.
If you'd like any more information, please respond. By the way, I have had my Grandfather's family yDNA tested at Family Tree DNA. If you have also we could compare results.

I have an original Cabinet Card photograph of "Harriet A. Carr Chace - 1851-1927, grandmother of Eleann", which I'd like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Fall River (Bristol Co.) MA, and she looks to be about age 30-35.
I found Harriet with her parents, Benjamin and Elizabeth Carr, in the 1860 census for Tiverton (Newport Co.) RI. In the 1880 census, she was Harriet A. Chace, age 29 (born RI), wife of Adaniram, age 34, and they lived in Fall River (Bristol Co.) with children Benjamin (6) and Ada (3). In 1900, they lived in the same place, and her date of birth is shown as May, 1851.
Get back to me at margerice(a)prodigy.net if you are related to Harriet A. Carr Chace.

I'm looking for Susie Addie Carr (also seen spelled Kerr). She was born btwn 1881-1886 in Arkansas or Mississippi. In the 1920 census, it says her parents were born in Tennessee. She married 1. Lee Allen Bennett in Mississippi. They had 4 children : Joseph, Henry, Lee and Goldie. She then later married 2. Grover C. Hearn and had a daughter, Elizabeth.
She was to have passed away in March of 1956 in Louisiana.
Anyone have any information on her or her relatives?
