You need to get the marriage certificate for Edward and Kathleen. YOu can
get it very easily from the GRO. You will need to know the reference
numbers to put on the application.
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
1921 Dec ¼ Kensington 1a 430 either name Edward Carr or Kathleen Aldridge
This will give you where they lived, ages, occupation, status (single,
widowed, divorced) and who each fathers were and occupation. With this
information you will then be able to go to the census and follow the family
backwards, get names of siblings, occupations etc.
The certificate should cost no more than £7.00(includes postage). You can
use a credit or debit card. It takes about 2 weeks and the certificate
comes in the mail.

I am seeking information re:
Sarah Carr, born Sept.6, 1743, Providence, RI; married Dr. Benjamin Tiffany, who served in Rev. War;
Sara died October 27, 1839, aged 82 years, Randolph, VT, and is buried in the Randolph Center Cemetery, as is her husband.
I am seeking the parents of Sarah Carr. The Tiffany's of America, by Nelson Otis Tiffany gives this information, which is all I have been able to locate, "The marriage of Dr. Tiffany and Miss Carr was not approved by Judge Carr of Providence, RI, a prominent resident of the town, whose manor house was renowned." The marriage of the Dr, Tiffany and Miss Carr ws not approved by Judge Carr, so the young couple eloped, greatly to the judge's displeasure."
Dr. Tiffany and Sarah has 10 children, all born in Hanover NH
If anyone can help me I will be most grateful....She was my paternal greatgrandmother.
Thank you in advance.
