We are related to the Carr family you mentioned with roots in Oklahoma. We go back to Henry Carr from Pennsylvania and are from the family that remained in Illinois.
It would be good to share information.

Does anyone have pictures or information on William Samuel Hart (1861-1950) married to Annetta Mary Jane Carr (1878-1935)?
I know they are burried at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE.
Their children were Elizabeth,George, Rueben, Harriet, Harold and Samuel (Bob).

Hello Helen,
If Mary came from Alabama and has Native American ties, you may want to
check out Walker & Blount Counties in Alabama. One of my 2G Grandmothers was
Native american and a lot of her descendants live in a town called Nauvoo/Old
Nauvoo which is in Walker County. I also know that there was a lot of Carr's in
Blount county.
I have 2 lines of Jones , I will check and see if Mary shows up.
God Bless!

I have a Mary Alice Jones who married Perry Lexington Carr in 1899 in TX.
She was born in 1801 but we don't know anything about her or her parents.
Someone told me her family came from Alabama. Her parents died young and she was
raised by Uncle Joe Hart. His wife was supposedly a JONES. We think she was
Indian but I don't know how to go about looking for them.
Would you mind sending me in the right direction.
Thanks Helen Carr

The Samuel Carr I am tracking came along a bit later than both of these. He died in Whitley Co., KY in 1931 at age 72. Maybe he was descended from the other two Samuels??

I am searching for a descendant of Rev. John F. Carr from the state of Arkansas. The time range would be 1880 to 1907. There was an article and picture of his monument in todays paper and I wanted to send it to a descendant of his. I am not a CARR researcher, but just a fellow genealogist. Email me if you fit this description.
Thanks
