I recently purchased a bunch of old photos. One photo shows a young girl and is labeled on the reverse "Nonie A. Niles, married George S. Carr". The photo was taken at the Stearns Photo Studio in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.
Attached is a copy of the photo. If this is one of your ancestors, please contact me.

Perhaps You should try joining the Carr DNA group and get tested.
http://www.familytreedna.com/public/carr/ It could help to pin down which
Carr family you are from .Especially as more of us are tested and the data
base grows. In my case It proved a cousin we weren"t sure of and eliminated
hands down a couple or three families I was considering. Testing through the
group is less expensive than otherwise. contact the administrator, John Carr

Hi!
If I were you, I would check the line of George
Washington Carr from Lauderdal County, AL. Before
this family moved to Alabama, they changed the
spelling from Kerr to Carr.
At one time, I thought this was my line of Carrs, but
it wasn't. My earliest Carr is John Carr, born
1795-1805, in South Carolina. I don't know which
county. I don't know his parents. I suspect now that
he was from the Walter Ker line that settled in
Monmouth County, NJ in 1685. Nothing but hunches,
though, to back it up.

George Salley,
Not sure if my Carr's are from North or South Carolina, could have been
either with the way the county lines changed over the years.
Supposedly, My 4 G Grandfather, John "Jack" Carr, Born 1801, was born in
Rutherford Co. NC.
He is one of my Major Brickwall's !
You would happen to have a John Carr in your line ???
He married Elizabeth Womack in Lauderdale Co. Ala. in 1822, but, her family
had migrated to Warren Co. TN by 1810 around the McMinnville area, Not sure how
they met, I do know that they were married at Elizabeth's brother Nathan's
home in Lauderdale Co. Ala.
