I have several spaces where she could belong. I have too many
holes in this area. One of the patriarchs of the Monroe Co area
is Leonard Carr (1771-1854) of Hardy Co, VA. He is the son of
Henry Carr, born in Germany (1727) and immigrated in 1731.

To all concerned, I am not saying that this is gospel or it is cast in stone but this information is verbatum from the Carr books that I have got ( 5 of them ) William Carr was born in London, England June 17,1597, he married Susan Rothchild in London May 16,1619, she was born in Devonshire,England April 30,1598. They came to America in the fall of 1621,in the ship " Fortune ", Capt Roger Williams, with thirty five passangers on board. they landed at Plymouth November 7,1621.they stayed the following winterin Plymouthand on June 1,1622 they started in a southwesterly direction through the trackless wilderness with an indian for a guide and after a journey on foot of forty-eight days they located a home, July 18,1622 where the town of Bristol, Rhode Island was afterward built. the town was laid out and named in 1636 by Roger Williams.William Carr died in Bristol June 4 1672, and his wife Susan died in the same place May 3,1671. They only had, George Carr born March 12,1620. !
Like I said before I can not guarantee the authenticity of the Carr book. now, if anybody would like a copy of all of the above and some more history I will be very glad to photo-copy it and send it to them and you may want to include your line of Carrs as this one book goes up into the 1920's. please e-mail your address only so that I may send you a copy. I too am researching that line of Carrs. I am researching William Carr,b. June 1597 and d. 1672 in RI? He married Susan Rothchild. It seems the every one talks about George. I cant find any records pertaining to my Carrs in RI. From RI they went to Maine.

In Halifax Co, VA in the Court Orders of 1763 an Arthur Carr is listed as
the Defendant and Nathaniel Ayres is list as the Plaintiff. The remark only
says that judgement was rendered.
In another case in the Orders of 1767 Isaac Carr is listed as the Defendant
and David George & Company as the Plaintiff and again the remark only says
that judgement was rendered. I have been researching the Carr family from
Halifax Co VA for a long time and I have never seen any other reference to these
two men. Can anyone shed any other light on them?

Looking for information on the parents of Joseph A. Carr. I know his Father was also Joseph Carr born in 1858. Do not have a dod or any information about his mother. I know Father and Son are both buried in a small cemetery in Constantia, NY. Any help would be great.

That age would possibly make Moses the brother
of my Robert CARR. My Robert was born abt 1745.

I don't know how Moses is connected. He does not show
up as a son of Robert in Robert's will or as a witness.
Perhaps he is John's son.
