In your post you show a marriage between an Oliver Council and a Margaret Carr. We have a Margargaret Carr, b.@1812 in Sampson County. She looks as if the she would be possible candidate due to the marriage date that you showed. Do you have any information on this individual.
Thanks,

Dear Marilyn,
There is a picture of Obediah and Jane Cross, in Cooks Station MO. Do you think Jane could be related to your Elizabeth. They are sitting in the picture and Mr and Mrs Will Carr are in the back standing. Also a Markley woman. I can't know if these connect to my Carr Line but it would be worth looking into for you. If you like we can make the arrangements to email you the picture.
Sharon

Any information for my Great-grandmother, CATHERINE CARR born about 1840 in County Donegal, Inver Parish. Married Michael Ward of Leagans, Inver Parish, Donegal. Had 11 children. If naming patterns were used her parents names would be Jane and John Carr born around 1815. Surrounding townlands were Tievedooly, Castleogary and Meenawullaghans. Any help would be appreciated.

Greetings Sydney and Margie,
I am delighted to find relatives of William Carr, as I'm descended from his son, also a William Carr. I have information on a line of Scotch/English Carrs out of Baltimore (Walter b. circa 1620--Thomas--Aquilla--William etc.) William was early to leave Baltimore, relocating during the Revolutionary War with in-laws the Heberts/Herberts to Halifax Co. VA. Aquilla also left for Ohio where he was a prominent citizen and sired many (20+) children through several marriages, so the name shows up alot in Ohio in the ensuing years. The families were Quakers.
The William I believe we are all talking about was caught up in Virginia Carr records for another English line and has always been considered a mystery figure. It's wonderful to find where he went. Thank you!
I've got more information if you're interested. Elizabeth Carr McKay

Ann,
I agree with you. Everything I read about John Carr and Elizabeth (Cross?) just confuses me more!
I am a descendent of Elizabeth "Betsy" Carr and Richard Ashcraft. (Many people cite John Carr and Elizabeth Cross as the parents of Elizabeth Carr)
I too have seen various birth dates and places for John Carr. I wonder were all that information came from?
Hello Carr researchers!
I am searching for my greatgrandfather's Father. John Carr of Orland Maine. born abt 1794 to 1810 place unknown.
He and a woman named Martha were listed on my greatgrandfathers marriage license; Thomas E. Carr born 1831 in possibly Nova Scotia CA. Their marriage was in Roxbury Mass. 1847. He had a son William born 1861, and a daughter Ellen born 1865. Thomas moved to Cook Station Missouri in 1868 with William and Ellen, Anne McCombie his wife and his foster mother, Martha Moffat. They are all buried in our family Cemetary in Cook Station, Mo.
It would be wonderful to make contact with someone!
Sharon

Cheryl,
You need to be more specific about your Elizabeth Carr. There are probably more than 500 Elizabeth Carr's born in 1905 worldwide. What country?, what else do you know?. Since you have her parents names that would be a place to start.
