Hi Peggy,
I seek Carrs albeit from Birmingham/Liverpool/Ireland. I have a John Carr (b1862) son of George Carr (abt 1830)son of Joseph Carr (b.1812) They had chair manufacturing businesses in Birmingham, Ireland and then Liverpool by 1891. It's possible that George Carr had other brothers - maybe they moved to the Newcastle area. What was the business of your John Carr and company?
Hi- Looking for Rosetta or Loretta Carr. Loretta was married to Graham
and they had 4 kids. Both women then married Roland Fish. ( different
times of course) I have their 1920/ 1930 census records. Both girls were
born in late 1880’s
They would be from Ny or around there- possibly Washington, Ohio and
Illinois.
Would appreciate anything that might fit in!
Thanks
Amanda Fish Goodall

Their sons, Otto and Irwin (Erwin) Lee, raised families in Wisconsin. I lose track of the daughters Hester Carr and Emma Jane Carr probably due to marriages. If connected, please contact me.

I'm researching the family of Caleb Carr, born in about 1783 in Connecticut.
He is listed in the 1820 census of Farmington, Ontario County, New York and
the 1850 census of Rochester, Monroe County, New York. His children probably
included these four, all born in New York:
1. Augustus Carr, born in about 1808, died before 1870. He lived in Ontario
County, New York in the 1830s and he is listed in the 1840 census of
Rochester, Monroe County, New York, the 1850 census of Greece, Monroe
County, New York and the 1860 census of Manchester, Ontario County, New
York. His wife was Marilla Ann.
2. Jarvis W. Carr, born in about 1808 in Ontario Co., NY, died abt. 1875. He
is listed in the 1850, 1855, 1860, 1865 and 1870 censuses of Bristol,
Ontario Co., NY. His wife was Betsey.
3. Caroline M. Carr, born in about 1813 in Vermont?. She died before May
1855 and is buried at Cuba, Allegany Co., NY. She married Jonathan Hall and
the family is listed in the 1840 census of South Bristol, Ontario Co., NY
and the 1850 census of Cuba, Allegany Co., NY.
4. Eben W. Carr, born in about 1813, died in 1881 at Rochester, Monroe Co.,
NY. He is listed in the 1850 and 1860 censuses of Rochester. His wife was
Francis.
I'm interested in exchanging information on these families.

Hello Pamela.
Thank you for the reply. I suppose the significant fact or facts about our line of Carrs is that they were descended from John Thomas Carr of Carr and Company. John Thomas also served as Russian Vice-Consul circa 1855-56. Richard Storer Carr the elder was the son of John Thomas and Sophia Balleny and was christened 30 July 1835 in Newcastle. They also had two daughters, Isabella born circa 1828, Balleny born 1830: and another son, William born in 1837.
Richard Storer ( and he was always referred to by this name) and his wife Anne Richardson, had two sons, Richard Storer, born in 1863 and Lisle born in 1868. Lisle emigrated to Canada circa 1882 and it is from him that my husband is descended. He had little contact with his family and therefore no one in the family knew anything of them.. We are very interested in finding the family of his brother Richard Storer.
Thanks for you interest,
Peggy
