Hi, Im Marcia Lesman. My fathers name was Harland Curtis and my Mother's name was Mildred Leona Carr. I find it funny that you say the Carr's are descendents of William the Conqueror, We have traced my Father's Curtis side back and have been told the Curtis' are also descendents of Will. the Conqueror.so maybe I have him on both sides of my family lol.
I have been searching for my Mothers carr's and seem to have no luck. Her mother was Ada Wiley and her father was Charles Carr from Adrain, MI. I believe they migrated to Mi from Ohio. Seneca area. If you have any info I would greatly appreciate it. The Carr side of my family is a big mystery to me.

I am looking for any information on Katie Carr and her parents. She was my great grandmother. She had two brothers. Joseph and Tull.
They were all born in Mississippi. She was born in 1881 and she was the youngest. I think that her parents were Daniel and Augusta Carr. I found Daniel and Augusta in the 1880 census and they had two sons (Joseph and Tullie). It has Daniels father's birth place as France and my dad has always said that our Carrs came from France.
She married my great grandfather, Henry Walton, in Henderson, KY. They lived in Evansville, IN. Tull lived in Fort Branh, IN.
Thanks,
Sarah

Searching for parents of George Miller Carr. Moved to Attala County, MS. from AL. between 1857 and 1860. George appears to have married twice: Lucy Ann Brown whom he married in Itawamba Co., MS. 4 Dec 1841 and Amanda [Arminda/Aminda] Pullen, widow of a Mr. MacDonald. Aminda is buried Bear Creek Cem., Attala Co., MS.
George Miller Carr migrated to the Multona Springs / Bear Creek area in northeastern Attala County, Mississippi in the mid 1850's by way of Virginia, South Carolina and Alabama. Multona Springs was the location of a Post Office in the mid to late 1800's. Multona Springs has since become extinct. The Carr farm was located in an area east of the Natchez Trace Parkway between Holly Branch Creek and Bear Creek, north of Highway 12.
Suspect some link to Major Thomas Carr of Caroline County was born in 1678 [according to the Carr Family Bible]. He was one of the original justices appointed for Caroline at its formation in 1728.
