There is an excellent free database at www.archives.ca. Some of these
enlistees were born in the US. For instance I found Daniel Carr, b. 4/17/1892
in Winchester . IL. His next of kin was his mother Mrs. Johanna Carr of 320
Pecan St. , Peoria, IL. He was a waiter by trade. There were other US born
Carrs. Maybe you will find a "lost " relative there. Just click the Archivia
button for the list of databases. Happy hunting., Madge

Searching for the parents and maiden name of wife of John Carr born about 1785. His wife's name was Mary.
They had a daughter, Mehepsabeth (Hepsia) born Feb 22, 1815 in Deering, New Hampshire. The family possibly moved to Lowell, Massachusetts by 1855 as this is when and where Hepsia was married to Joseph Clesson Jr. Joseph was from Knox County, Illinois and this is where they all died, John Carr in 1863 age 78 and Mary in 1867 age 82.
John and Mary Carr also probably had a son with the initials J.S. born about 1820 as he is also buried in Knox Co. IL
Any help appreciated.

Hi Everyone,
Recently I was browsing through a Carr mailing list and I came across a request for information on a Thomas Carpenter Carr, a clergyman who lived in Dublin in the 1820's. It was posted in 1998 by Pauline whose internet address is no longer active. I happen to be descended from a man with the same name who lived in Dublin. Naturally I was intrigued by Pauline's posting. I would be very pleased to hear from any one who knows Pauline or of Thomas Carpenter Carr
