Dear Pat,
I wrote you before and told you there wasn't any connection to our Carr family. I was wrong. When I sent for Samuel Carr's civil war pension records, I found out that Sarah Carr is the oldest of Elijah and Ann Carr. I have done extensive research into the family tree. I would need your U.S. Mail address to send you what I have. Frank B. Carr, a brother, was awarded the Medal of Honor in the Civil War at the battle of Nashville TN.

I am looking for information on William Carr. Sons Robinson, Thomas, and Robert, and daughter Esther. Esther married George Snowdon. They lived in the Cornfoth and Coxhoe area of Co. Durham mid 1800's. They seemed to all be involved in the railroad as engine drivers or other railway jobs.

I have a whole bunch of related Carrs in Franklin Co., NC.
Robert CARR b. 1745 had at least five sons. One, Elias, had a son named John CARR and was called 'Jack.' I don't know much about him and suspect he is NOT your John (Jack) CARR as Elias and Mary (Barnes) CARR had a son, James b. 4 Sept. 1801.
However, any one of Elias' brothers could have had a son named
John.
Children of Robert CARR b. 1745 d. Sept. 1801 and Mary (Council) CARR:
Council CARR b. abt. 1767 d. aft. 1823
Robert C. CARR b. abt. 1768 d. after 1768
Nancy CARR b. ? d. 26 Nov 1824
Elias CARR b. abt. 1770 d. abt. 1828 (my ancestor)
Elizabeth CARR b. abt 1778
James CARR b. abt 1782
John CARR b. abt 1784
Salley CARR
These were all beneficiaries of Robert CARR Sr.'s will.
I don't know who the children of these children were (except
for Elias' children).
