I am looking for the family of John Carr and Mary Fisher who married 21 May 1866 in Fredericton, NB. Mary Fisher was the daughter of Henry and Rebecca Fisher of New Maryland, NB. John and Mary Carr had a daughter, Fanny Bertha, baptised 21 Feb 1867, but do not appear in Fredericton or other parts of York County, New Brunswick in the 1871 census. Does anyone know where they moved to or if they had any other children?

I don't know for sure which schools I need. I think it would be Elk Mills or Elkton schools. I know Delbert Carr Sr. Played football for Elkton or Elk Mills in the 20's. Also if you can find any record of a beer hall in the area Run by a HArry Hooper Carr prior to prohibition. I don't know much about him, he'd passed away in 1952, so anything I can find on him is oral history and third-hand at that. I appreciate all your help and if the Va Carr's have any record of Billie Marie I'll let you know. I'll be going up to ask Ray about them in early January.

I may be able to get high school photos for you. I assume that you are looking for Carrs and Kearneys in the photos, correct? Rising Sun and Colora were separate schools at that time - I'll look for photos from both schools. Let me know if you are looking for any person in particular & I'll see if I can locate them.
I honestly don't know where Billie's family was from. I know that they moved to somewhere in Pennsylvania, but they weren't moving back to where they were from. Thanks for trying to help me find her - I was hoping that with an unusual name like Billie Marie that she would turn up.
Best wishes & happy holidays to you!

Just on an off chance, could her family have been from the Richmond, Va area? There is a Ray Carr down here who has records on that branch pretty far back. I'll ask him if he knows of Billie Marie.
Thaks for the numbers, I'll call tomorrow and let you know if anything pops up at me.

Unfortunately, Billie Marie Carr's family was not originally from the Rising Sun/Colora, MD area and I don't remember where they were from.
There are a few Carr's in the immediate area, however I do not know any of them personally. I've listed their names, addresses, and phone numbers in case you want to contact any of them:
Bernice L. Carr 1221 Calvert Rd, Rising Sun, MD 21911 410-658-0409
Carroll R. Carr 374 New Bridge Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911 410-658-5932
Dennis P. Carr 109 Coulson Drive, Rising Sun, MD 21911
410-6580376
Jerry L. Carr, Sr. 67 Colora School House Road, Colora, MD 21917 410-658-6158
Lisa L. Carr 1738 Conowingo Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911 410-658-9302
I did not find any Kearneys in the Rising Sun or Colora area. They could be unlisted.
Thanks for getting back to me. Good luck with your search.

Linda, our family lines probably do not cross but here is what I have. Cornelius P. Carr b. 1830 mar Julia Barnes, b 1835 in NH. The only trace I have of Cornelius's parents is the 1850 Census. Cornelius's parents appear to be Cornelius and Nancy Carr. They did have a son Horace whose age was said to be 16, which would make his birthdate abt 1834. Which isn't a good match for your Horace. If you determine that there may be a connection, please let me know. Cornelius, Sr. said in the 1901 Quebec Census that he is of Dutch lineage. Are your Carrs German, Dutch, Irish or Scotch. Thanks for answering.

I have a Horace Eastman Carr who came from NH to IL, and his offspring included John, Frank, Azro, Horace Jr., and Fawnie. I think his parents were Amos G. Carr and Lucy Woodbury. Horace was born in 1839 and died in 1911. Does any of this info fit with your line?

Miss Jean Carr lived in Weldon Colorado. This info was taken from a letter written to Department of the Interior, Bureau of Pensions Washington D.C. on November 23, 1914. Her parents were Frank B.& Kate (Trubey) Carr. Eugenie (Jean) Carr was born in Defiance, OH on 15 Apr 1877. I believe her mother and her owned 160 arces of land near Weldon Colorado. I would like any information that would help me find out what happened to her. Thank you in advance for any assistance! Tim
ROBERT CARR, ABOUT THE FIRST SETTLER IN GREENEVILLE, TENN.
From the best accounts it appears that ROBERT CARR was about the
first settler in what is new
the town of GREENEVILLE, in 1783, in which year Greeneville was
first established, along with
the County of GREENE. WILLIAM DUNWOOD?? and ROBERT HOOD came
about the same
time. In fact all of these probebly located there as ??arly as
1780 or 1781.
The first hotel (House of entertainment) was kept and run by
this ROBERT CARR, who, in 1783-4
built his house on the North side of Main St. Dunwoody was
properly DINWIDD??E, and the name
CARR was sometimes KARR & KERR, a very usual verient. The first
courthouse completed about
1785 was of logs and a dirt floor. It stood at or near the site
of the present Greene County
courthouse. During the life of the "State of Franklin" the House
of Commons met in this court -
house, which was called the "Capitol" of Franklin, and the
Senete met at BOB CARR'S home close
to the Big Spring, heretofore referred to.
I have a Robert CARR who came to TN from Franklin county,
NC, but I don't know when he arrived, and I found him later
in Logan County, Kentucky. I don't think this is the Robert
you are looking for, but there is probably some connection.

Hi,
My GG Grandmother, Susanna CARR Carmack was born in VA on 18 Feb 1804. We know nothing of her family or siblings...can you help? Susanna married John Wesley CARMACK in Overton County Tennessee in 1822 and from there I have it all, but nothing prior to that. Please check your Carr lineages and see if you might have Susanna there somewhere.
Sincerely, and Merry Christmas
