Oh dear .. I forgot there was a CARR-UK list :-((
I'll send the 1901 census details over that I've been posting to County
lists.
Including some in Houghton-le-Spring. I've been collecting all Christopher
CARR from the 1901 census .. one of them is my grand-father .. I think it's
the one in Birkenhead but to make sure I'm looking at all of them :-)
Paula .. are your Houghton-le-spring CARRs Church of England ? if so I can
count them out .. mine were RC.
Cheers

I've just reviewed the film of Houghton-le-Spring Baptisms 1822-1849 (Church
of England) looking for mine. Unfortunately they weren't there, but here is
the transcription:
Church of England Baptisms
Houghton-le-spring, Durham, England
1822-1849
British FHS film 893831
Entries for the surname: CARR
