Season's Greetings and Happy Salutations,
There are a few discount options available for DNA tests during December 2010, so I want
to let you know about them. My Christmas wish is that you can get some of your Carr
surnamed cousins tested and we can make more links within the project. If you are able,
you might even want to sponsor someone, sponsoring another person has worked to either
identify a link or show that the link is unlikely for several project members .
Family Tree DNA's Holiday test kit sale is on. There are tests to identify the DNA
signature of the paternal line and maternal line as well as cousins in all lines.

The discounts are also applied to test kit prices on our project join page, even though
the discount is not identified on the page for all test kit prices that are reduced. The
cheapest option is to join through a surname project or a regional project or haplogroup
project (best option for finding cousins with an mtDNA tests)

While Family Tree DNA is my preferred DNA for genealogy test company due to their large
product line and the great service they provide, there are other DNA test companies that
perform equivalent tests that can also be used to identify related paternal and maternal
lines and to search out recent cousins. Here are a few that are also offering discount
prices during December 2010.
http://www.genetree.com/ - 46 marker YDNA or full hyper variable region mtDNA test at less
than $130 each
http://www.dnatribes.com/?g-dt&gclid=CJ_44Yua06UCFQWD5QodsWVgy - prices reduced by

Full genome DNA test to identify cousin relationships, very similar to the FTDNA Family
Finder test, 23andme has a very good website to assist with DNA analysis and to identify
cousins

2010, though the number of kits available at this price is limited, so best not to delay
