Just a quick note, our membership continues to grow and reveal more connections between
participants. Please continue to spread the word about the project and encourage more
Carr families (including all phonetic spellings) to join us. Also, remember to pass along
any new Carr genealogy research you uncover. The information you uncover may be useful to
others even if it does not pertain to your own family.
There are three days remaining, as of this posting, in FTDNA's offer of reduced prices
to expand your haplotype. These low prices are not offered often, so if you currently
have a 12 or 25 marker haplotype, you will do well to expand to 37 or 67 markers if you
are able to. 37 markers really is the lowest allele count that has significance for
genealogy research. 67 markers has also proved useful since some 37 marker matches do not
hold up at 67 markers. Also note that some some people with 12 marker haplotypes have
good matches when expanded 67 markers, even though the 12 marker results were not
encouraging. Larger YSTR allele counts are more useful for establishing genealogical
connections. Waiting until later will result in a higher cost to you, so this is a great
opportunity.
Enjoy the day, more later,
John
