Everett Edward CARPER, 97, formerly of Loveland, died May 10, 2005, in Morrison after a
prolonged illness.
He was born Oct. 6, 1907, in Miller, Buffalo County, Neb., to Joseph Phillip Carper and
Lola Avis Rhine Carper.
He married Marie Olive Lee on Jan. 17, 1937, in Berthoud.
Mr. Carper came to Colorado in 1934 and worked principally for the U.S. Gypsum Co. west of
Loveland until that facility was closed in the mid-1960s. About 10 years later, he moved
to Arizona.
In 1997, he returned to Colorado and was an assisted-living resident at Eaton Terrace in
Lakewood.
He enjoyed fishing, woodcarving and collecting barbed wire.
Mr. Carper is survived by a sister, Ellen Jane Gretzinger of Salem, Oregon; a son, Robert
Lee Carper of Conifer; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Dennis Lee Mundt of
Eaton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie, on Sept. 24, 1970; brothers and sisters
Carlyle Laris, Lawrence Allen, Lee Martin, Elsie May, Alma Ann, Gerald LaVerne and
Irvadine June; and a granddaughter, Carin Tristin Carper.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home, 1102 N. Lincoln
Ave., Loveland.
