Dear Gary,
Yes.
The French Huguenots that settled in England came from Normandy and
regions along the coast of France.
This included Carpentiers who (some) used the English Carpenter version
of the name. However, the numbers of "Carpentiers" were small in
compared to the aggregate total of Huguenots.

Hello,
One of my family lines which is supposed to be
Huguenot includes the surname CARPENTER (Hampshire,
England abt. 1775). It has been suggested that this
could have come from an Anglecized CARPENTIER. Does
this sound possible and were many CARPENTIERs
Huguenots?
Regards,
